A word from Annie, creator/owner of Mystara
Sean Devin IM'd me out of the blue to warn me of what a terrible, evil person Essie is. At the time he'd messaged me, I knew her casually as she rented one of my cottages, and asked for noticing rights so she could host events. I agreed and from what I knew, she seemed to be a perfectly decent human being.
I am neither the type of person to get involved in slanderous gossip, nor do I believe what people tell me outright as being "truth". I form my OWN judgments of people based on my OWN experience with them because it is the MORAL thing to do. Even if I get burned. It's saved me from a lot of drama and heartache.
So when Sean Devin, the co-owner of Everwind (whom has never ONCE acknowledged me nor even said a friendly hello) messaged me out of nowhere, warning me that there was a terrible person living on my sim, acting as though he actually cared about me and was doing me some kind of a favor, I had one thing to ask: What did Essie do? I asked him to give me some concrete examples of things she actually did. Because everything he was saying was a bunch of anecdotal slander.
His only reply was "thanks for your time". I pointedly asked him again to give me some concrete evidence, all he could say was a) she complains openly on her blog and b) he gave me a notecard of someone else offering anecdotal complaints. Now I'm complaining openly, and people deserve to know the truth.
My noticing rights were revoked from the group they run, called the Medi-fantasy group, merely because I "associate" with Essie. If that isn't petty or vindictive I don't know what is.
Eventually everyone will realize what kind of people Grace and Sean are.

I applied to rp in Glenblahblah.... after a while i started to ask about it cuz I was suddenly ejected from the group and didnt hear back from my application...
The simowner denied me to become a Glenblahblah member cuz I have a strong opinion about arseholes on the open web called Blogger... You will find the convo I had with her at the bottom of this page where she threatens to report me to LL if I will use her 'private' chat. She sounds like a cat in distress.

One day... right after opening, PPL that were connected with me...were ejected without warning from the Glenblahblah maingroup. They never heard anything back from their applications...

Kyra: One thing you need to realize about Glenblahblah. This sim is going to strive for GOOD role player.. so the application is NOT a "Character" application, but "PLAYER" application. We are not looking at the IC character created we are looking at the rp'er. WHY? Because we all - my full team - watched MANY sims fail because they accepted just anyone, let them do whatever, play whatever roles.. Just so they would have the traffic numbers for profit. I dont charge for anything IC here. Not IC home, not weapons, not potions, not the instances we are creating... even the market is selling items for RP money only. So we are NOT about Profit. we are about RolePlay. It was not your character that you created that was the problem.. it was YOUR history. I know you Essie, even if you dont remember me.. as does many on my team. Examples of your antics in our group chat showed the ones who didnt know you yet.. that they should look into you further as well.. and we ALL did. And I suspect you will someday Blog

Her true-self revealed…
Who is Grace Loudon?
She is the owner of the Everwind Realm and estates…
To some she is an angel…
To most she is the devil in disguise…
It all started when Grace announced that she would rebuild Everwind and she was recruiting leaders for her sims. She ‘hired’ many people and let them do their thing without giving them any feed-back about what her idea for HER roleplay sim. Many raceleaders DID their thing and the group was growing. Many events were held. People were enjoying themselves.
At that time I had my own Information&Events group for the medieval/Fantasy roleplay. It was growing fast and had about 500 active members. Grace had a group as well but was not active. So I offered to merge both groups cuz most it would be useless to have 2 of the same groups. She agreed and I merged my group with hers and I became a co-owner.
WHAT A STUPID MISTAKE WAS THAT! Grace started to use the group for her own personal wars… Some sims weren’t allowed to post notices and members were ejected because she has a personal problem with them.

in neither of these groups was a rule broken by Tsewi Erien , the owner became hostle and upset because it was brought to her attatition about her OWN rules of being nice to others and NOT resort to the level of name calling which she did with someone. All Tsewi did was point this out and for this the owner of the sim Everwind and co owner of Medi-Fantasy Events & Information banned Tsewi Erien from both groups. Upon this Banning her Second life partner Imed Tsewi and said she was Banned from Everwind where Tsewi told him that Grace Loudon had already Banned her , he then called her an Idiot” .

Meanwhile, Grace suddenly stepped in and started to replace race-/guild leaders… She wasn’t happy with the vision of the chosen path of the leaders: “It does not fit the Everwind vision”. While at an earlier point, in many conversations she said she was very pleased with about how smoothly things were running. And really, those raceleaders were VERY ACTIVE.
Android Nakajima: when she spoke with my husband through IM's, she threatened to take his role as wild elf leader if he did not let someone into the group that was bad news. she specifically said that anyone is allowed to join a race group of their choice as long as "the leader of the group accepts them". she said nothing about you HAVE to accept them or else you get depromoted. She even told him she was giving him a certain amount of time to add him to the group, and if he didnt when his time was up, she was taking his role and rights away. Shes power hungry and manipulative in my eyes. Anyone who doesnt do what she wants, she threatend to eliminate. And this is not just said by over hearing, I have seen this for myself.

It all started when Grace announced that she would rebuild Everwind and she was recruiting leaders for her sims. She ‘hired’ many people and let them do their thing without giving them any feed-back about what her idea for HER roleplay sim. Many raceleaders DID their thing and the group was growing. Many events were held. People were enjoying themselves.
At that time I had my own Information&Events group for the medieval/Fantasy roleplay. It was growing fast and had about 500 active members. Grace had a group as well but was not active. So I offered to merge both groups cuz most it would be useless to have 2 of the same groups. She agreed and I merged my group with hers and I became a co-owner.
WHAT A STUPID MISTAKE WAS THAT! Grace started to use the group for her own personal wars… Some sims weren’t allowed to post notices and members were ejected because she has a personal problem with them.

in neither of these groups was a rule broken by Tsewi Erien , the owner became hostle and upset because it was brought to her attatition about her OWN rules of being nice to others and NOT resort to the level of name calling which she did with someone. All Tsewi did was point this out and for this the owner of the sim Everwind and co owner of Medi-Fantasy Events & Information banned Tsewi Erien from both groups. Upon this Banning her Second life partner Imed Tsewi and said she was Banned from Everwind where Tsewi told him that Grace Loudon had already Banned her , he then called her an Idiot” .

Meanwhile, Grace suddenly stepped in and started to replace race-/guild leaders… She wasn’t happy with the vision of the chosen path of the leaders: “It does not fit the Everwind vision”. While at an earlier point, in many conversations she said she was very pleased with about how smoothly things were running. And really, those raceleaders were VERY ACTIVE.
Android Nakajima: when she spoke with my husband through IM's, she threatened to take his role as wild elf leader if he did not let someone into the group that was bad news. she specifically said that anyone is allowed to join a race group of their choice as long as "the leader of the group accepts them". she said nothing about you HAVE to accept them or else you get depromoted. She even told him she was giving him a certain amount of time to add him to the group, and if he didnt when his time was up, she was taking his role and rights away. Shes power hungry and manipulative in my eyes. Anyone who doesnt do what she wants, she threatend to eliminate. And this is not just said by over hearing, I have seen this for myself.

Yes, yes, I know it is THEIR sim, and that WE are a ‘guest’ and WE have to kneel down to them and their rules cuz WE get to use THEIR sim for free… BLAH BLAH BLAH
I am talking about attitude here…
They make the simrules according to their vision…
They make rules like
… no cheating…
… don’t do this or that…
… be polite to each other…
… no drama…
The downfall of a sim/realm/group starts when the owners start to ignore their own rules… like making drama to people in the group-chat, talking abusive, calling names, using illegal weapons and much more.
And when you ask them about it, they say: “IT IS MY SIM!!! I CAN DO WHAT I WANT!!!” And don’t be surprised to find yourself ejected cuz you don’t agree with the owners power-play.
“IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT… LEAVE!!!”
I also noticed during my years in SL and visiting many RP-Sims, that most sim-owners are afraid to loose control of their sim… they don’t trust their leaders. And when a leader has a slightly different version about how things should be rp’d …they get replaced within a second.
Such sim-owners really don’t give a damn. They only give about themselves. They only care about their status “Oww look at me, I have loads of cash in RL and I can make a playground for you.”
A good example is this…
A new sim is recruiting leaders & members, but the owner isn’t really interested in helping the new leaders getting started or informed, they let them find their own path and don’t give any feed-back. Prolly cuz they find a sim-opening more important than the good basic structures that is needed in a sim.
And this is what happens a few weeks later… The sim-owners suddenly realise that they don’t agree with the leaders’ chosen paths in RP. The leaders have worked for many weeks, to get the groups up and running, but find themselves being pushed aside by new leaders that were recruited by the sim-owner. And they weren’t even told they didn’t rp’d the vision of the owner… no warning upfront… nothing…
I own a Medieval/Fantasy MM group with 3000+ members…
And yes, I have rules. I need to have rules or it will become a MESS…
One of the rules is “No modern items”, sounds logic right?
So, would it be ok, for me as group-owner, to ignore my own rule and post modern items, but say to the rest “Piss off, it is MY group. And if you don’t like it, GET LOST!!!”???
I think I would loose my credibility…
I think that ppl would leave my group…
And that is what will happen to a sim where an owner ignores their own rules…
PPL will leave, and a downfall will follow…
A sim-owner is supposed to be an EXAMPLE to ALL MEMBERS…
And sim-owners have a task to listen to concerns of the members.
A sim-owner should work together with leaders/admins cuz they are the ones that motivate, drive the members… and THAT is what makes a sim a wonderful place to be…
